The Au Pied-du-Courant Complex is composed of two heritage buildings: the former prison at Pied-du-Courant which dates from 1832, and a warehouse from the 20s which was used by the Liquor Commission at the time. To allow for the integration of Télé-Québec and SODEC's head offices, the buildings were completely restored by the ABCP+BGLA consortium.

Our Design team was entrusted with the mandate of fitting out the offices, choosing the furniture and supporting Télé-Québec's teams with the ergonomics of the workstations. Spread over four floors, the new offices will accommodate Télé-Québec’s and SODEC’s 350 employees. As the two organizations were going to move into shared spaces, the challenge was to give them a common vision, while meeting their individualneeds. We had the pleasure of accompanying them in the transition to workspaces now in open space.

With an objective to createsustainable workplaces, the furniture was selected for its long-term quality and local manufacturing by Quebeccompanies. After assessing each department’s needs, in collaboration with ABCP+BGLA, we designed a layout plan and then proposed a guideline for the style and materials of the furniture that would define the different workspaces, as well as the lounges, and collaborative rooms.
