New Sûreté du Québec station in Vaudreuil

Located on Harwood Boulevard in Vaudreuil, this new station is designed to be an emergency operations centre, in addition to providing highway security on the projected section of Autoroute 20 and throughout the Vaudreuil-Soulanges MRC.

Covering 1,825 square metres, the building is home to highway and civil security services as well as regional investigation functions. STGM Architectes was hired to design a building that would be a civic icon for the area, and to optimize the site and its potential. Given the project's LEED quality, the firm also ensured compliance with design standards associated with Bronze certification. Maximum use of natural lighting, and a geothermal system, were chosen strategies.

Cooperation between all parties has made this Sûreté du Québec station a perfect example of integrated design. The alliance between technical performance and design was there from the very beginning of the project.
